View: Unknown likly French photographer. Handwritten on the front: “Philippeville (Panorama) Algerie. This is the city of Skikda in north eastern Algeria and a port on the Gulf of Stora, the ancient Sinus Numidicus. It was known as Philippeville until the end of the Algerian War of Independence in 1962.

Grade: 6/7. Yellow flat mount stereoview 1880’s. Somewhat low contrast.

View: Dutch issue of an originally French view. Card says in Dutch language “Dutch Stereoscopic Company, Amsterdam”.  View says below left: “31. Tunis. Rue......(can’t read it)”. Tunis is the capital of the Tunisian Republic.

View: Unknown French issue. View says below left: “23. ......(can’t read it). The will likely be one of the North African former French colonies. Building on the right says “debit de tabac”, which is French for Tabacco Shop.

View: Dutch issue of an originally French view. Card says in Dutch language “American Stereoscopic Company for Art, Fun and Science”.  Nevertheless this is no USA view, but a French one. View has a description below left. But as often with these French issues, we can hardly read it: “Tanger. Palais du Pacha........”. This will most likely be the Pacha’s Palace at Tanger, Marocco. Marocco is a former colony of France.

Grade: 6/7. Thick, cream flat mount stereoview 1870-80’s. Somewhat low contrast.

View: Dutch issue of an originally French view. Card says in Dutch language “Dutch Stereoscopic Company, Amsterdam”.  View says below left: “93. Guelma. Groupe Arabe. Algerie”. This view shows people from Algeria, wearing traditional cloths.

View: Unknown Dutch issue. View says below right: “No. 6. Het maken van een hulpspoorbrug over de Rhenosterrivier, Oranje Vrijstaat.” The construction of an improvised bridge over the river Rhenoster, apparantly to replace the broken one next to it. Could be from an unusual boer war series.
