View: North & Oswald, Toledo, Ohio. This view shows the damage, caused by the river Maumee overflowing. The Maumee has always been liable to overflow its banks and flood adjacent territory, especially at the breaking up of heavy ice. These image are most likely dating February 1881 or Februari1883, when problems were most heavy. There’s an extended description on the back, but that’s merely advertising stuff. There’s no information about what you can see on the view.
